Tobias Engel has been a Professor of Supply Chain Management at the University of Applied Sciences Neu-Ulm since 2015. His academic background is in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, and Information Systems. In 2004, he finished his study program in logistics, followed by a career in the automotive industry.
He received his MBA in 2009 and his Ph.D. from the Technical University of Munich in 2015. Besides his experience in automotive and aerospace consulting, he publishes articles on supply chain management, logistics, data science, collaboration, and risk management.
In addition, he is a cluster manager for sustainable supply chain networks at the Technology Transfer Center (TTZ) in Leipheim (Bavaria), conducting research in sustainability, collaboration, forecasting, risk management, artificial intelligence (AI), digitization, digital supply chain network twins, and new technologies.
